Ocean Treasure has been an integral part of Lauderdale by the Sea since 1957

Originally named the Sand Dollar, the property served countless patrons visiting the town over the course of nearly half a century.

Throughout the 2000s, however, the building began to show its age and lose the charm and beauty it was known for.

Well, in 2019 we decided to purchase this amazing property and transform it into something special.

We are so excited to welcome you back to Ocean Treasure Beachside Suites.

While the building still has the same charm it used to have, we made sure to modernize everything to accommodate today’s hotel guests, with features like central air, full-property Wi-Fi, and beachside cabanas.

Each and every room has a gorgeous view of the ocean, with brand new floor-to-ceiling windows that show off our gorgeous shoreline.

We even installed large pocket doors to open up all of the views while offering privacy when needed.

Property Policies

  • Check-in: After 3:00 P.M.
  • Check-out: 11:00 A.M.
  • Office hours: 10:00 A.M – 5:00 P.M. If arriving after 5:00 P.M, guests must notify the office for special check-in arrangements. Office will be closed on all major holidays. No check in on these days to insure our employees can enjoy their holidays too.
  • All overnight guests must register at the office.
  • On-site facilities are for registered guests only.
  • Parking available for one pre-approved car per room only; Car must be removed from the lot by 11 A.M on departure day. Parking fees apply.
  • No bikes permitted in rooms or walkways. Outdoor bike rack available, please bring bike locks.
  • Beach towels and chairs must be checked out from lobby.
  • No refunds for early departures.
  • Rates and policies are subject to change without notice.
  • Rates apply to any damaged property or missing items (see rates in rooms).
  • All guest rooms, lobby and pool are strictly non-smoking. Your credit card will be charged a $250 fee to clean bedding, furniture, blinds, etc. if you smoke in your guest room.

Reservations and Deposits

  • One night’s deposit by credit card or personal check is required for room reservations, if stay is longer than one week a 25% deposit is required.
  • Personal checks accepted for deposits only and must be received within 7 days of placing reservation.
  • Valid driver’s license and credit card required for check-in registration.
  • Balance is due upon departure.
  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover charge cards accepted. Debit cards and cash also accepted.
  • Reservations or deposits are not transferable.
  • Reservations with deposits are held until 7:00 P.M unless reconfirmed by phone.
  • Cancelation Policy – Room deposits are refundable with at least 14-day notice and are subject to a $50 service charge. Deposits not refundable with less than 14-day notice.
  • Absolutely no refunds after check-in for any reason.
  • Any date changes are subject to a $50.00 service charge.
  • No date changes are accepted with less than 14 day notice.
